EPISODE 11
HUMPING ALONG After 10 weeks of washing buses and elephants, numerous vehicular problems, dealings with chickens and fish, getting tattoos, taxi drivers who did not know the way, Yields and U-turns executed by one team… it has boiled down to the three teams, of which one who will be crowned champion.
Will it be Ida and Tania, the teams with all the smiles, who have been at the last spot and successfully climbed their way back; Sam and Vince, friends who have had their arguments but managed to stay in the race; or Geoff and Tisha, the dating couple who have argued a lot and become one of the most disliked teams in The Amazing Race Asia, mainly due to Geoff's brash attitude.
The first to leave the last pit stop, Ida and Tania must drive themselves to the Governorate of Muscat Office for their next clue. "Winning or losing, whatever happens, we managed to run the race from start to finish," says a proud Tania. "I can't find any words to describe how amazing that feels," chimes in her partner.
Patting themselves on the back, Geoff and Tisha are the second team to depart. "Being in the final three, all bets are off. We are so impressed with ourselves," notes Geoff. "We never ever, ever expected it," says Tisha.
Arriving at the main gate, the moms see that it opens at 8am. By the time it opens, only the first two teams are there to dash in towards the clue box.
Teams must now drive to Said's Camel Farm and transfer 10 camels into a holding pit to get their next clue.
With no idea how to travel there, Geoff trails the moms, hoping that they will lead him there. But the moms have wised up and after a few turns, the moms stop to get some food.
Back at the pit stop, Sam and Vince are the last team to leave and they are confident of catching up to the other two teams. Says Sam, "Getting into the final three was our goal coming into the race. The final goal is to win it all." "Now it's no holds barred. It's anyone's game," says Vince.
Noticing camels on the road, the moms are the first to arrive at the farm. Taking the reins of one camel at a time, the moms kick things of slowly as Sam and Vince get their first clue.
After leading 10 camels, the moms are rewarded with their next clue, as well as the fact that Geoff and Tisha have yet to show up.
